BSCA Mission Statement

Our mission is to utilize science, research, and technology to establish and implement risk reduction strategies for severe storm, natural disaster, and climate resilience in coastal communities.

Furthermore, we aim to promote the implementation of natural and nature based solutions where appropriate, in order to realize the multitude of benefits that the biomimicry approach can provide for coastal resilience.

BSCA Philosophy

We believe in and support the open exchange of research science, investigation, personnel, equipment, and data to leverage the synergy of the full range of Belize coastal stakeholders in the mission of building nature based coastal resilience while enhancing biodiversity conservation for our home.
